Welcome to Scrolling for the Truth! This blog was created as part of my Misinformation and Society course to document what I am learning about misinformation, media literacy, social media, artificial intelligence, and the different ways information can influence society.

We are constantly surrounded by information, especially through social media, news websites, videos, and other digital platforms. Sometimes it can be difficult to tell what is factual, misleading, biased, or completely false. Throughout this blog, I will complete different activities and share my personal reflections on the information I encounter and how it affects the way I view media.

The purpose of this blog is also to help me become more intentional about what I believe and share online. As I continue through the course, I hope to improve my ability to question information, recognize misinformation, check credible sources, and understand why false information spreads.

The name Scrolling for the Truth represents my goal for this course: learning how to scroll smarter, think critically, and look beyond the headline before deciding what to believe.
